Lunch will be either, a picnic plus a visit to an olive oil ranch or a sit down lunch at one of the visited wineries. Leaving Mendoza, you’ll drive into the Valle de Uco, nestled in the foothills of the Andes and surrounded by beautiful scenery. You’ll visit two prestigious wineries hidden between rows of rolling vineyards and take part in a guided wine tasting of the top local tipples. Your guide will give you a masterclass in the art of wine-tasting, as well as whisking you through the wine production techniques and letting you in on some grape-related secrets. You have too many ways to connect with the snowmelt waters of the Andes. You will be able to have rafting trips all year round for the adventurer looking for class III+ water. All of your runs are upstream of the Potrerillos Dam and Reservoir. The continual rapids will provide constant action throughout the decent. High summer flows, chalk-full of sediment, will bring you huge holes and haystacks. Low winter flows run clear with a natural slalom course of exposed rocks. The trips are run by river guides with international experience and swift water rescue certificates. Safety kayakers are always available for additional support. All paddlers will be equipped with life jackets (pfd), wetsuits, splash jackets, river booties and helmet. You will use self-bailing Hyside Hypalon 14′ boats. Our river equipment is impeccably maintained and renewed often to bring you the best experience.

Undoubtedly the most important tour of our province, mountain landscapes everywhere, places full of history and the colorful Andes mountains. Visiting places like Potrerillos, Uspallata, Historical Puente Picheuta, Polvaredas, Punta de Vacas, Penitentes, Puente de Inca, Provincial Park Aconcagua, border town Las Cuevas and if the road allows, reach the Redeemer Christ (Cristo Redentor), peace symbol located in the Santa Elena hill at 4200 mts. above sea level right at the border with Chile.

Three of Mendoza´s main oasis are known as: North, Central and South oasis.  In the South you find San Rafael, the second most important city of Mendoza, furrowed by the rivers Atuel and Diamante that nourish with water this rich in production oasis. The curious course of the Atuel river has formed over the years the majestic Cañon del Atuel, with geoforms, colours and amazing landscapes along with many dams and hidroelectic centres  that complete the scenery.  Thanks to its beauty, it has become a traveller´s hotspot. The area offers a wide range activities like rafting, trekking, boat trips and more.

Experience one of the most important stages in the wine making process: the harvest. Guided by our expert staff you will be able to harvest and learn about this traditional and vital activity. The day ends with a regional lunch in the restaurant of Casa del Visitante.

Enjoy the great outdoors and the stunning scenery around Mendoza on this full-day cycling trip through the rolling vineyards of the wine regions, with the Andes towering in the background. You’ll be picked up at your Mendoza hotel in the morning and transferred to the starting point, where you’ll zip along the trails on your bike, stopping at three different wineries to take guided tours and taste some top notch local wines. The last winery on the agenda is Nieto Senetiner, a historical Argentine bodega steeped in atmosphere and surrounded by gorgeous views. You’ll stop here for a tasting, followed by a three-course lunch paired with the perfect wines. Bikes, helmets, insurance and mineral water will be provided, giving you everything you need for a great day discovering the best of Argentina by bike.

To complete the tour you will also visit an olive oil factory and the Carrodilla church, a national historic monument were the patron saint of vineyards shelters.

Today it´s all about playing and connecting our senses. A perfect activity to share with friends, this cooking lesson – guided by a local chef – will show you how to prepare traditional recipes such as the famous Argentinian empanadas amongst other local dishes.  All this within the warm and cozy walls of the Zuccardi family´s house and winery.

Mendoza’s location at the base of the Andes and its low elevation mean that is has a temperate climate all year round, so it can really be visited at any time of the year. For serious wine aficionados, it might be an idea to visit in March, when the famous Harvest Festival takes place and festivities take over the city and the entire region. Throngs of industry professionals, and those who simply like a glass of wine in the evening, flock to Mendoza to take part in the celebrations, which are a cultural staple of this area of Argentina. Between March and May, you can get the best Mendoza has to offer, as samples of that year’s harvest will be in abundance for you to try. The quieter months are in winter from June to August, and visiting in fall from April to June will allow you to see the beautiful colours of the trees as they change their leaves.

Flights arrive daily to Mendoza’s El Plumerillo airport from Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile. If you plan on skiing in the Las Leñas ski resort, chartered flights are available to the nearby town of Malargüe. Flights to Salta, Iguazú and Bariloche from Mendoza started operating in 2010, so if your itinerary requires a transfer from any of these destinations we can organise it for you. As Mendoza has become something of a travel hub for Argentina, depending on your nationality, you may have to pay a reciprocity fee if coming from Santiago in Chile. Mendoza has been attracting tourists for many years, and so the tourism infrastructure here is sophisticated and well developed. There is a wealth of hotels spanning everything from budget accommodation to boutique hotels and high-end resorts and spas. You may also choose to spend a few nights in a rustic estancia or guesthouse typical of rural Argentina. If you plan on adventuring into the Andes or to Mount Aconcagua, camping is also an option. One of the best ways to explore the region at your leisure is to rent a car, especially if you plan on visiting the Uco Valley, a must-see wine region about an hour and a half outside Mendoza. Another good option is to hire a driver for the day who will bring you to a selection of different wineries and wait while you have lunch, bringing you back to your hotel in the evening.
