Inspired by TripAdvisor and to be honest in the end by your opinions we decided to publish this post about 3 awe-inspiring destinations in South America. That immediately makes this our first posts about one of our favorite Bolivia destinations, Salar de Uyuni since adding Bolivia to our product range. Time to reveil the South America tour destinations that made it to this awe-inspiring list:
Perito Moreno Glacier
One of the 47 glaciers that together form Los Glaciers National Park, and one world’s very few glaciers that is actually advancing. With no doubt, this is the best place in South America to see a glacier in action. Many travelers rave about the spectacular views and sounds after they’ve seen one of those massive icebergs falling into the clear water.
Iguazu Falls
Located on the border of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, the Iguazu Falls are without a doubt one of world’s most impressive waterfalls. And with a total of 275 officially the largest series of waterfalls on the planet! The enormous Devil’s Throat is the largest and can be seen as the heart of the Iguazu Falls. The Devil’s Throat amongst others can be viewed from many angles and from both the Argentine and the Brazilian National Parks, the amazing views offer many photo opportunities. The most dingy ride is probably the one by boat, navigating on the Iguazu river waters into the Devil’s Throat Canyon.
Salar de Uyuni
The beauty of this thick and hard crust of salt and the snow capped mountains on the horizon make it to one of South America’s most awe-inspiring landscapes. The Salar de Uyuni is world’s largest salt flats with roughly 12,000sq km and can be visited all year around. The landscape changes from a salt desert during dry season do a gigantic mirror during rainy season (November to March). This scenario is a paradise for photographers, for the visual effects that can be achieved. Imagine the whole sky being reflected and everything seeming to float in the air.. The Salar de Uyuni is one of South America’s most spectacular landscapes and definitely not to be missed!
